 NAXALITES, including three women, killed in Balaghat encounter

As the search and combing teams of the police and central paramilitary force, including the CRPF’s COBRA team, moved into dense forests, the bodies of the three women Naxalites were recovered.

On June 14, 2025, four Naxalites, including three women, were killed in an encounter with security forces in the Pachama Dadar forest area of Balaghat district, Madhya Pradesh. The operation, conducted by the Hawk Force, District Force, and CRPF, was launched based on intelligence about Naxalite movements.

Security forces recovered a grenade launcher, a self-loading rifle, two 315 bore rifles, a rocket launcher, cartridges, and other materials from the site.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav praised the operation, stating it aligns with the goal to eradicate Naxalism by March 2026, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Efforts to identify the deceased are ongoing, and a search operation continues in the area. Balaghat, a Maoist-affected district, borders Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, both regions with Naxalite activity.
