Security Chief Ali Larijani and Gholamreza Soleimani Killed - Iran

Iran has stated that the war will intensify further. Iran has admitted the killings of Security Chief Ali Larijani and Gholamreza Soleimani, and said that revenge will be taken for this.

SNPNEWS.IN News (Gurmail Kamboj): On the 18th day of the America-Israel-Iran war, Israel conducted an airstrike near Tehran or on the outskirts of eastern Tehran. In this attack, Iran says Security Chief Ali Larijani was killed. In addition, his son Morteza Larijani, Basij Militia Commander Gholamreza Soleimani, his office head Alireza Bayat, and several bodyguards were also killed.

Israel claimed that this was a targeted airstrike, and Iran’s state media (Mehr, Tasnim, Supreme National Security Council) has also confirmed it. Ali Larijani was the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) and was seen as Iran’s de facto leader after Khamenei’s assassination.

Iran has called the killing of the security chief in Israel’s attack a “martyrdom” and issued threats of taking revenge. The SNSC issued a statement for Ali Larijani saying he “achieved martyrdom in the service of the Islamic Revolution.” For Basij Commander Gholamreza Soleimani, the IRGC said he is a “martyr” and that revenge will be taken.

Iranian Army Chief Amir Hatami said: “A decisive, deterrent, and regret-inducing response will be given for Larijani’s assassination.” President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed regret by calling Larijani a “brother” and said that “terrorist criminals will receive severe revenge.”

Mourning is being observed in Tehran. Preparations are underway for the funeral of Larijani and Soleimani on Wednesday. Iran has rejected proposals for de-escalation and said that Israel and America will have to “kneel down” first. The new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has also appealed to continue the resistance.

People with knowledge of the Middle East and Iran’s situation say that these killings will not make much difference to Iran’s military operations, because like America-Israel, no policy decision there now depends on any single person or leader.

The entire succession setup is in place for who will take which position after whom. However, from the kind of statements coming out, it is clear that the pace of attacks will increase further. For the past few days, Iran has been launching an average of 63 drones and 30 missiles daily, and this number could increase now.

The way Israel-America is targeting Iran’s top leadership, Iran will not rest until it kills at least some top Israeli leaders, if not American ones. No one knows what has happened in Israel from the attacks so far, because like Iran, Israel will not admit the killing of any leader during the war.

There, as soon as the message of a leader’s death comes out, chaos would erupt. Only visuals of missiles reaching the sky are coming from there; the media is only able to shoot visuals of the impact when the army there permits after seeing everything.

Contrary to expectations, America also now appears ready to fight for a few more weeks. Yesterday, Trump’s Deputy Press Secretary Kush Desai told Al Jazeera that the war could last 4-6 weeks. This means America is prepared for this timeframe.

In the last 3-4 days, Iran has targeted America’s refueling tankers, hangars, remaining places from where American aircraft are operating, offices of big companies, and in Israel, areas beyond Tel Aviv including Lebanon’s border regions. All these places have different importance.

In Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait, Iran has created such a situation that military aircraft, missiles, or activities from there have almost stopped, but America is still using some areas of UAE and Saudi Arabia secretly for attacks, especially from Abu Dhabi.

Attacks on these areas will intensify. At the same time, Israel has deployed ground troops against Hezbollah and has entered inside Lebanon. Iran is now focused on disrupting Israel’s communication network so that coordination between Lebanese areas and Tel Aviv breaks down.

After Ali Larijani’s killing, Iran will increase the pace of attacks on Tel Aviv and Haifa. The more top leadership killings happen in Iran, the more hardliner leaders will enter the leadership, and Iran will carry out that much more revenge actions.
