America Attacks Venezuela, President Arrested

Venezuelan President and His Wife Arrested by US (American) Security Agencies.

SNPNEWS.IN News (Gurmail Kamboj): On January 3 (not December), US security agencies and military jointly carried out large-scale attacks on Venezuela’s capital Caracas and surrounding areas. More than 150 aircraft participated in this, destroying Venezuela’s air defenses.

The US military conducted this operation under “Operation Absolute Resolve”. The stated reason for the attack is drug trafficking. The Trump administration has called Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro the head of a drug cartel named “Cartel de los Soles”. The US has been accusing Maduro and his close associates of drug trafficking since 2020. Trump said that drugs like fentanyl and cocaine are entering America via Venezuela, causing hundreds of thousands of Americans to die annually. The US has termed this “narco-terrorism” and designated Venezuela as a terrorist organization.

Special Forces (Delta Force) arrested President Nicolás Maduro and his wife. They were taken aboard a US warship and sent to New York, where Maduro already faces an indictment in the US, along with a $50 million reward for his capture. Maduro will be presented in a US court, and further proceedings against him have begun.

Contrary to the US administration’s linking of this action to drug trafficking, according to international media, Venezuela has the world’s largest oil reserves, which are being cited as the reason for the attack. Additionally, Trump had recently spoken about strengthening US influence in Latin America. The US called the 2024 elections rigged and considers Maduro an illegitimate president.

After the attack, Trump said that US companies will develop Venezuela’s oil and “run” the country until a safe transition occurs. According to several analysts, this could also be for controlling the oil.
