Last evening, a meeting of the people of the city was held at Gurdwara Sachkhand Sahib, in which all the shopkeepers of the Sunam city market, leaders of all parties, the president of the trade council and the M C of Sunam city participated. In which, opposition was expressed to shifting the bus stand of Sunam city to Bathinda Road outside the city and agreement was expressed to shift the bus stand to the land near Sachkhand Gurdwara Sahib near the city.

Because if the bus stand is moved outside the city, the city will be deserted and business will also end. The land of Sachkhand Gurdwara Sahib is close to the railway station, tehsildar office, court, all banks and all government buildings. Building a bus stand at this place will not cause any inconvenience to the city residents and the people of the nearby villages, nor will the business of the shops located in the market be affected.

Therefore, all the shopkeepers and MCs present in the meeting demanded that the bus stand be built near Sachkhand Gurdwara Sahib and all the city residents gathered together and submitted a memorandum to the Honorable Mr. Aman Arora, Cabinet Minister Punjab.
