
Cabinet July Aman Arora appealed to the people to attend the state-level martyrdom ceremony of Shaheed Udham Singh Ji at Sunam on July 31
Sangrur/Sunam, July 22: Cabinet Minister and Aam Aadmi Party President Shri Aman Arora laid the foundation stones for development works worth around Rs 03 crore 85 lakhs in 32 villages of the constituency during the ceremonies organized at different villages of Kheri, Nagra, Bigarwal, Ghasiwal, Birkalan, Togawal and village Mander Kalan and handed over cheques to the Panchayats.
On this occasion, Shri Arora said that the Punjab government is living up to the expectations with which the people had elected the
Aam Aadmi Party government in the state. Development works are going on at a war footing in the entire state including the Sunam assembly constituency, which is transforming the state.
Addressing various functions, Mr. Aman Arora said that the development of the state is being done by the Punjab government in a planned manner. While education and health are being given top priority, continuous development of infrastructure is also being ensured.
He said that this will be the first time in the country where every family will have a treatment insurance of Rs.10 lakh. In case of illness, a person only has to go to the hospital and get admitted. The Punjab government will do all the rest. This treatment will be available absolutely free in government and empanelled private hospitals.
Speaking about the land pooling policy, the cabinet minister said that under the new and progressive land pooling scheme in the state, no land will be forcibly acquired from any farmer. This policy will be of great benefit to the farmers of the state.
The objective of the land pooling scheme is to create a permanent source of income for farmers and make them active partners in the progress and prosperity of the state. He said that land will not be acquired forcibly in the state and only those farmers who agree will have their land taken under this policy. Under this policy, farmers will get residential and commercial plots.
Mr. Arora said that while canal water and continuous electricity are being ensured for crops, villages are being equipped with facilities like cities. Every village is being provided with playgrounds and sports equipment so that the youth can get away from drugs and join sports.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet Minister laid foundation stones and distributed cheques for development works to be carried out in villages Bir Kalan, Tolawal, Model Town 01, Model Town 02, Bigarwal, Singhpura, Jagatpura, Akalgarh, Mander Kalan, Mander Khurd, Buggran, Lohakhera, Rattoke, Takipur, Nagra, Togawal, Dialgarh, Sahoke, Kheri, Gaggarpur, Kamomajra, Kanoi, Kamomajra Khurd, Khurana, Khurani, Balwar Kalan, Balwar Khurd, Sohian Kalan, Ghasiwala, Bakhshiwala, Kotra Amru and Tibi Ravidaspura.
The Cabinet Minister instructed the officers of various departments that no compromise will be tolerated regarding the quality of development works and that all development works should be completed within the stipulated time.
He also appealed to the people to keep an eye on the development works themselves and if any deficiency is noticed, it should be brought to their attention immediately. Mr. Arora also appealed to the audience that the Punjab government is fighting a war against drugs on a large scale and has been successful in a large scale, but any campaign launched by the government can be completely successful only if the people give full support to that campaign.
Therefore, the people must definitely support the government in this campaign. On this occasion, SDM Sunam Mr. Pramod Singla, DSP Sukhdev Singh, BDPO Gurdarshan Singh along with officers of various departments and a large number of Sarpanch, Panch and other people of the constituency were present.
