Colonel and his son beaten by Policemen
12 policemen suspended in Patiala Punjab for beating up a Colonel and his son after a parking dispute. The police department has taken strict action in the case of brutal beating of an army colonel and his son in Patiala. 12 police personnel involved in this incident have been suspended. “The victim’s family has submitted the full video of the incident and a complaint. The family alleges that the police was initially avoiding taking action against its employees.
SSP Nanak Singh said-:
Departmental inquiry has been ordered against all the police personnel, this investigation has been started completely within 45 days. He said, “We, the army officers, apologize for this incident.
Colonel’s wife makes serious allegations against police personnel.

In a complaint filed by the colonel’s wife to the police, her husband Pushpinder Singh Bath and son Angad Singh were brutally beaten up by around 10 police personnel including Inspector Harjinder Singh Dhillon, Inspector Harry Boparai and Inspector Rauni Singh with sticks, baseball bats and sharp weapons.The incident took place near a dhaba near Patiala Rajindra Hospital. During this, her husband suffered serious injuries, and his left hand was broken. Son Angad Singh suffered a deep wound on his head, due to which both of them were admitted to the hospital at 2 pm. on March 14.

Still the police is lateThe entire incident is clearly visible in the footage of the incident spot, but despite this, the statement of the husband and son was recorded quite late. Till now no concrete action has been taken by the concerned police station.The victim alleges that she has been making rounds of Civil Lines, Patiala Police Station, but an FIR has not been registered yet.
The colonel’s wife alleged that the police were trying to protect the guilty officers. She also said that her family was being threatened to compromise or face dire consequences. When she went to the police station to lodge a complaint, the accused falsely accused her of assault.
