CSK

Among the 10 teams in IPL 2025, CSK is the only team that has lost 5 matches in a row.

CSK 5th Consecutive Defeat, The 25th match of IPL 2025 was played between the teams of KKR and CSK at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. KKR won the toss and decided to bowl, which was proved right by KKR’s bowling attack and crushed CSK.

CSK’s batting was very poor. They scored only 16 runs in the first 25 balls and lost 2 batsmen. How much pressure CSK was feeling can be easily estimated from their batting in the first 11 overs.

CSK had scored only 65 runs in 11 overs and lost 4 batsmen. They added 103 runs in 20 overs which included 5 extra runs, during this innings CSK lost 9 batsmen. S. Narine (4-13-3), V. Chakaravarthy (4-22-2) and H. Rana (4-16-2) bowled brilliantly for KKR.

CSK’s bowling,

KKR did not take the small target lightly. Their batsmen Q. de Kock (16-23) and S. Narine (18-44) gave a solid start which was easily followed up by A. Rahane and R. Singh to seal the win for KKR.

CSK bowling attack looks mediocre. Their bowling unit scored 107 runs in 10.1 overs. For CSK, N. Ahmad (2-8-1) managed to perform somewhat well.

Questions Are Being Raised On Dhoni

MS Dhoni is facing increased scrutiny and questions about his future in the IPL, particularly with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), due to his performance in recent matches and his age.

While he’s known for his composure and leadership, his batting performances in the 2025 IPL season have been a topic of discussion, with some questioning his ability to play in the middle order. Dhoni’s batting score in the recent IPL has been below expectations, in the last few matches he has been seen batting at the lower position in the order.

Even today, Dhoni came out to bat at the 9th position for the CSK team, which is losing wickets continuously, after which he became a victim of criticism. It is being said that Dhoni often tries to protect himself.

According to the critics, he is not a good batsman, in the meantime, a clip of a match of the 2019 World Cup is being made viral very quickly in which Dhoni is playing by trying to defend. After which he has been declared guilty of losing that match.

After CSK 5th Consecutive Defeat, Questions Are Being Raised On Dhoni

This was their fifth consecutive defeat after the humiliating 8-wicket loss at home to KKR. And this has largely made Chennai’s future in this mega event clear. However, after the match, captain Dhoni explained why the Super Kings could not avoid the fifth consecutive defeat.

After the defeat, MS Dhoni, who is again taking over the responsibility of captain, said, ‘The last few matches have not been good for us. The situation has become challenging for us and we have to accept it.

We did not score enough runs on Friday. The picture in this match was such that in the first innings the ball was coming with more stop, but in the second innings it came with comparatively less stop’,

On his batting, Mahi said, ‘When you lose too many wickets in the beginning, it becomes very difficult for quality spinners. There was no partnership for us. If there were more partnerships, if the batsmen executed themselves better, then our score would have been better’,

on the question of only 31 runs being scored in the power-play, he said, ‘It is very important to look at the situation. In some matches, we have done very well, we played according to our strength. But you cannot match the game of others.

Our openers are good batsmen. They are capable of playing tremendous shots.’ Dhoni said, ‘It is important not to get restless after looking at the scoreboard. If we move ahead in the power-play with the intention of scoring 60 runs after looking at our batting, then it will create problems.

If we lose wickets early, then there should be partnerships, we should capitalize on the middle overs.
