During the clash, the three retired police officers and another individual were injured. Former Police Inspector Suba Singh, who was injured, passed away today during treatment at Rajindra Hospital.
According to information, Sandeep Singh attacked retired DSP Gurbachan Singh, Inspector Suba Singh, and Inspector Inderjit Singh. Retired DSP Gurbachan Singh and Inspector Suba Singh had been sentenced to life imprisonment by a CBI court in a fake encounter case.
Following the clash in Patiala jail on September 10, the injured police officers were admitted to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala for treatment, where Inspector Suba Singh succumbed to his injuries.
