J. Buttler’s 97 runs and Krishna’s 4 wickets led GT to victory

GT Reached The Top Of The Points Table The 35th match of the 18th season of IPL was played between Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals today at the Narinder Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

During this match, the GT’s captain won the toss and invited DC to bat.

After being called to bat, when Delhi team came out to bat then A. Porel (9-18) and K Nair (18-31) gave a brilliant start in 10 balls.

After A. Porel was out, KL Rahul (14-28), A. Patel (32-39), T Stoinis (21-31) and A. Sharma (19-37) gave a solid basis to the team’s score with excellent batting.

At one point, DC was looking strong by losing 146 runs and 3 batsmen in 14.1 overs. But in the last 34 balls, DC’s batsmen struggled overwhelmed against GT’s bowling attack. DC added 57 runs in the last 34 balls and lost 5 batsmen.

Due to which DC could hardly reach the score of 203 runs. Meanwhile, GT bowlers P. Krishna (4-41-4) and I. Sharma (3-19-1) performed brilliantly, giving GT a presence in the match.

Chasing the target of 204, GT was dealt the first blow by DC in the form of captain Subman Gill (5-7) for just 14 runs on the 10th ball. After the captain was out, S. Sudharsan (21-36) and J. Buttler (54-97) provided a strong foundation to GT.

After Sudharsan was out, S. Rutherford (34-43) who came to bat with Buttler made a partnership of 117 runs in 68 balls for the third wicket. Which took the victory away from DC.

During this innings, DC’s bowler K. Yadav (4-30-1) managed to impress to some extent with his bowling. The rest of the bowlers were seen struggling. Due to which GT won the match with 4 balls remaining.
