Gulf Countries on Iran's Target; Attempts to Target American Fleet

In response to attacks by America and Israel, Iran is targeting American military bases and other locations in Gulf countries on a large scale.

SNPNEWS.IN News (Gurmail Kamboj): After reports emerged of missile attacks during the joint U.S.-Israel Operation Epic Fury, resulting in the deaths of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, his family members, senior officials, and leaders, fear gripped the Gulf countries throughout the day due to Iranian drone and missile attacks.

Iran has carried out large-scale retaliatory attacks today (and continuing from yesterday), using ballistic missiles, drones, and cruise missiles. According to international reports, many attacks were focused on American military bases, though some reached civilian areas.

Iran directly struck a residential area in Israel’s Beit Shemesh (near Jerusalem), resulting in at least 8-9 deaths (some reports say 9-30) and over 20 injuries. Missiles were also fired at Tel Aviv, Nevatim Airbase, and other locations; most were intercepted, but some caused damage.

In the United Arab Emirates, major attacks were confirmed on Abu Dhabi (Al Dhafra Airbase) and Dubai (airport, Jebel Ali Port, Palm hotels, and high-rise areas). Reports indicate over 130 ballistic missiles and 200+ drones were used, killing several civilians and injuring others, with damage reported to Dubai’s airport and port.

In Bahrain, attacks on Manama targeted the American 5th Fleet Headquarters and nearby areas, damaging hotels and warehouses, with several injuries.

In Qatar, missile and drone attacks on Doha and Al Udeid Airbase (the largest U.S. base in the region) led to reports of smoke and explosions.

In Kuwait, attacks near Ali Al-Salem Airbase and the airport caused power outages and several injuries.

Saudi Arabia: Attacks on Riyadh and Prince Sultan Airbase (most intercepted, but some damage occurred).

Attacks on American bases in Jordan and Iraq (e.g., Erbil), with most intercepted but some explosions reported.

Reports of attacks on Oman’s Duqm Port, a missile strike on an oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz affecting oil supply and halting traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement today claiming they fired four ballistic missiles at the American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (in the Gulf/Persian Gulf/Arabian Sea) and “hit” it. This claim appeared in Iranian state media (such as Tasnim, Fars) and official IRGC statements. They also warned that “land and sea will become the graveyard of terrorist aggressors.”

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and Pentagon rejected this claim as false. CENTCOM stated, “The missiles did not even touch the USS Abraham Lincoln; they didn’t come close at all.” The Iranian claim was clearly dismissed, with no damage reported. According to American reports, this is propaganda or an attempt by Iran to boost morale, as similar previous claims have proven false.

Attacks by Israel and America on Iran continue today, having started yesterday (February 28) and intensifying on the second day. These are being conducted as a joint operation, in which Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has already been killed. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) officially announced that American forces hit an Iranian Jamaran-class corvette (warship). The ship was docked at Chah Bahar (Chabahar) Port and is now sinking in the Gulf of Oman. This attack occurred in the initial phase of Operation Epic Fury, a U.S.-Israel joint operation against Iran.

CENTCOM also stated that Iranian forces, IRGC, and police have been urged to lay down arms and “abandon ship.” According to the American military (CENTCOM), 3 American soldiers were killed and 5 seriously injured in Iran’s attacks targeting U.S. military sites. This has greatly escalated tensions in the region, with further attacks by Israel/America on Iran ongoing.

Israel carried out large-scale attacks in a new wave today on the heart (center) of Tehran. The Israeli Air Force stated they are targeting the Iranian “terror regime,” including Armed Forces Headquarters, Internal Security Forces HQ, and other military sites. Reports indicate plumes of smoke and explosions in Tehran.

Israel’s Prime Minister stated that attacks will intensify: “We are eliminating dictator Khamenei and the regime,” and “attacks will become fiercer.” Israel claims it is establishing air superiority and “opening the path to Tehran.” Reports of explosions and smoke plumes in Tehran.

America is continuing this under Operation Epic Fury or a similar name. President Trump stated the operation is “ahead of schedule” and will continue for a week. Airports, ports, and oil supplies in the region have been affected. Traffic has halted in the Strait of Hormuz. International tensions have risen, with several countries (such as Malaysia, Russia) issuing warnings.
