The Indian team added 358 runs thanks to the runs of Sudarshan (61), Pant (54) and Jaiswal (58). England bowlers B Stokes (72-5) at J Archer (73-3) dismissed the Indian batsmen.
England added 669 runs in the first innings thanks to J Root (150), B Stokes (141), Ben Duckett (94), z Crawley (84) and O Pope (71). After which England got a lead of 311 runs over India on the 4th day. Indian bowlers R Jadeja (147-4), W Sunder (107-2) and J Bumrah (112-2) dismissed the English batsmen.
After England’s 1st innings, India was in danger of losing by an innings. It was further strengthened by England bowler Chris Woakes, who dismissed Jaiswal and Sudarshan in 2 consecutive balls.
After that, India made a strong comeback and captain Gill (103), Rahul (90), Jadeja (103)* and Sundar (101)* ended England’s hopes of victory and kept alive the hopes of a 2-2 draw before the fifth match of the series.
