IPL 2025: Lucknow Super Giants beat Gujarat Titans by six wickets in their Indian Premier League match on Saturday.

The Rishabh Pant flop show continued, but Lucknow Super Giants managed to ignore their new captain’s poor form on Saturday at the Ekana Cricket Stadium. LSG made it a hat-trick of wins in the ongoing IPL 2025 campaign and climbed to third position in the standings, behind Gujarat Titans, whom they beat by six wickets.

LSG chased down the target of 181 with three balls to spare with Aiden Markram (58) and Nicholas Pooran (61) hitting half centuries. Ayush Badoni remained not out on 28 as LSG scored 186 for 4 in 19.3 overs. Prasidh Krishna (2/26) was the most successful bowler for GT, while Rashid Khan and Washington Sundar took a wicket apiece.

Earlier, The match began with LSG captain Rishabh Pant winning the toss and opting to bowl. GT raced off the starting blocks as Gill, Sudharsan punished LSG bowlers with ease. The pair got half-century, but after their dismissals, it all went downhill for GT. Avesh Khan struck in the 13th over to remove Gill, who registered 60 off 38 balls. Meanwhile, Ravi Bishnoi removed Sudharsan (56) in the next over, as GT reached 122/2 in 13.1 overs. But then they began to lose wickets quickly as Shardul Thakur picked two wickets in the final over, with GT posting 180/6 in 20 overs.

The final over of this run-chase begins with a single as Badoni gets strike. Kishore sends it short and down leg. Badoni pulls it with ease, past the diving midwicket fielder, and it trickles to the ropes for a four! LSG need 1 in 4 balls now! Well, he goes high and long, and manages to get it over the ropes for a six! Finishes it off in style as LSG win by six wickets!
