After the end of the martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh Ji, Congress leader Rajinder Deepa targeted the Punjab government and Kejriwal.
(Shaheed Udham Singh Wala Sunam 31 July 2025): A state-level function dedicated to the martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh Ji was organized by the Punjab government. On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Finance Minister Daljit Cheema and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora and many other dignitaries were present and paid tribute to Shaheed Udham Singh Ji.
The waterproof tent of this state-level function has become a topic of discussion in Sunam. Claims are being made in Sunam about the tent that crores of rupees have been spent on it. Congress leader Rajinder Deepa reached the Sunam grain market and targeted the Punjab government on this issue.
Deepa started her address with the slogan “Kejriwal Kejriwal Koi Nahi Tere Naal” and accused the Punjab government that the water proof tent used for this program is from a Delhi firm which was invited to prepare a pandal here by paying crores of rupees. Out of which she accused of taking a large commission.
Deepa said during the conversation that the Punjab government used buses of the transport department to bring NREGA workers and AAP workers on a large scale so that a gathering could be shown at this event. According to Deepa, when Kejriwal started addressing, the people present in the pandal started coming out of the ground and they alleged that the catering work for this event was also given to a Delhi firm.
Deepa said that earlier also the state government has been organizing events, that time arrangements were made by local tent houses. which Rent was Rs 10-12 lakhs paid by Government.
According to him, the current government gave a contract worth crores of rupees to a Delhi firm. Which did not benefit the people of Punjab.
Deepa claimed that He would obtain information about the expenditure incurred on this pandal and the event through RTI and it would be brought before the public.
