Tej Pratap later claimed his Facebook account was hacked and the photos were edited to defame him.
Lalu Yadav stated on X that neglecting moral values in personal life undermines the party’s struggle for social justice, emphasizing that Tej Pratap’s actions did not align with family traditions. He added that Tej Pratap would have no role in the party or family and that others should decide independently whether to associate with him. Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu’s younger son and RJD’s de facto leader, supported the decision but noted that personal and political lives should be separate, stating Tej Pratap, as an adult, is free to make personal decisions.
