Open the Strait of Hormuz in 48 hours or be prepared for destruction - Trump

On the 22nd day of the Israel-US Iran war, US President Donald Trump threatened Iran through his Truth Social account, saying, “If you don’t open the Strait of Hormuz in 48 hours, be prepared to face the consequences.”

SNPNEWS.IN News (Gurmail Kamboj): On the 22nd day of the Israel-US Iran war, on Saturday at 7:44 pm (US Eastern Time), US President Donald Trump shared a post on the Truth Social site, giving Iran 48 hours to open the Strait of Hormuz, saying that if this does not happen, the consequences for Iran will be serious.

Trump wrote, “If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!”

The incident occurred on the 22nd day of the ongoing US-Israeli war against Iran. Iran has partially closed the Strait of Hormuz (which is essential for 20% of the world’s oil traffic), which has led to a sharp increase in oil prices. The US is continuously trying to open the Strait of Hormuz.

Shortly after Trump’s threat, Iran launched a series of ballistic missile attacks on Israel, hitting the southern Israeli cities of Dimona (where Israel’s nuclear research center is located) and Arad. These attacks were carried out in response to the US-Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear site Natanz. Iran targeted several other cities, including Jerusalem. During these attacks (on Saturday), more than 100 people were reported injured in Israel and several residential buildings were damaged.

The Iranian military command (Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters) issued a statement saying that if the US attacks Iran’s energy infrastructure (power plants, power plants), Iran will target all energy infrastructure, IT systems and desalination plants (salt water sweetening plants) associated with the US and Israel in the Gulf region. This action will be carried out “without any restraint”. Which will prove to be extremely terrible for the Gulf countries,

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that if Iran’s infrastructure is attacked, energy and oil facilities throughout the Middle East will be “targeted”, which will increase oil prices for a long time. Ghalibaf said in his statement that Iran’s action “will plunge the entire region into darkness” and it could cause a major blackout and internet outage.

The IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) also threatened to launch drone and missile attacks on US energy facilities in Gulf countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar etc.) in response to such an attack.

Following US President Donald Trump’s threat to Iran to open or the Strait of Hormuz and face consequences, and Iran’s claims of targeting energy infrastructure, IT systems and desalination plants of Gulf countries in retaliation for any US attack, the eyes of the entire world are fixed on the next actions of the US, Iran and Israel in the coming days.
