Pakistan launches Operation ‘Ghazab lil Haq’ war against its neighbors, reports of Afghanistan shooting down Pakistan’s US-made F-16

SNPNEWS.IN (Gurmail Kamboj): Border tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan seems to be turning into war, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has declared ‘open war’ against the Afghan Taliban. Pakistan’s defence minister has warned the Afghan Taliban, saying “our patience is over” and that there will be “open war”.
In a statement issued on X, the defence minister accused the Afghan Taliban of “gathering terrorists from all over the world in Afghanistan” and said the interim government in Kabul had “exported terrorism” worldwide.

The Afghan National Defence Ministry said 55 Pakistani soldiers were killed in retaliatory operations on Thursday along the Durand Line (which is 2,611 km long and has never been formally recognised by Kabul). In a statement, the ministry said the four-hour operation began at 8pm on February 26, the ninth day of Ramadan, and was carried out in response to an attack by the Pakistani army in Afghan territory that killed several Afghan women and children.
Afghan forces said they targeted posts near Paktika, Paktia, Khost, Nangarhar, Kunar and Nuristan, destroying two bases, capturing 19 posts and seizing weapons and vehicles. Eight Afghan fighters were killed and 11 wounded, while a missile attack on a refugee camp in Nangarhar injured 13 civilians.
