Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was on a tour of the flood-hit areas on September 2 to get information about the situation arising out of natural or human errors.
During this visit to the Chief Minister, a woman (who was found to be an AAP worker after investigation) came forward to tell the story of the flood victims. The said woman was seen getting emotional while telling the story to the Chief Minister, after the Chief Minister hugged her and silenced her, the Chief Minister himself was seen crying.
The official accounts of the Punjab government, the Chief Minister’s official account and many accounts associated with the AAP publicized this entire incident as if the Chief Minister was the one suffering the most from this calamity.
But as soon as the photos and videos of this incident started being shared, the whole story changed. The Chief Minister and his team used this incident for publicity, but since morning, social media users have started trolling the said woman for her dress, hair clip, gold ornaments, watch and the ruling party ID card worn around her neck. Apart from the said woman, who is an alleged AAP worker and leader, her husband, who is said to be an ex-serviceman, has also been a victim of trolling.
Social media users are claiming that who lost their houses and fields who have been flooded. How can those women go around dressed like this? The victims have lost their every thing. The government and party leaders are creating dramas.
According to social media, this was a drama. Which turned out to be a complete flop show. This controversy was not over yet, a video surfaced in which the Chief Minister was seen facing public opposition. Apart from this, the Secretary of the Drainage Department, Krishan Kumar, also faced public opposition.
