Railway UnderBridge Opening Without Railway's Permission Is Childish Act-Daman

The almost completed Railway UnderBridge near Sunam’s bus stand has become a political arena, the claims of AAP and BJP leaders became a topic of discussion.

SNPNEWS.IN News (Gurmail Kamboj): On March 19, this morning, some time after Aman Arora opened the Railway UnderBridge for traffic, Aman Arora’s media in-charge Jitendra Jain reached the bridge site with his colleagues and while appearing before the media, Jain claimed that the opposition leader (without mentioning his name) wants to close this bridge so that he can inaugurate this railway bridge,

After which there was discussion in the city about the Railway UnderBridge and many journalists called BJP leader Daman Thind Bajwa (who had gone to Delhi) to get information about the entire situation, then Daman Thind Bajwa presented (Bajwa’s) side to the media.

Following the controversy that arose after the opening of the Railway Underbridge (by Aman Arora and his colleagues), Daman Thind Bajwa claimed through Facebook live that Minister Arora and his colleagues have tried to gain cheap fame by forcibly opening the Railway Underbridge (without the permission of the railway authorities). She said that a leader like Aman cannot be expected to do such a childish act by opening an incomplete project.

It is worth mentioning here that recently, this underbridge was opened for traffic by the city residents themselves a few days ago. After which a bus got stuck in the girders installed at the entry point of the bridge. After this incident, the railway contractor and the administration closed the bridge for safety reasons.

She said that the decision to open this underbridge without the permission of the railway authorities, the Ministry of Railways and a security check could become a threat to the safety of the people, which the AAP MLA ignored on the advice of some supporters to open it soon.

Daman Thind Bajwa objected to the minister’s aides promoting this underbridge as a Punjab government achievement (a gift to Sunam by Minister Aman Arora), saying, “This underbridge has cost about Rs 8.14 crore, of which the Punjab government has not given a single penny, whereas in most projects the state government shares in the ratio of 60-40.” Commenting on the MLA, Daman said that the inauguration of toilets and transformers has decreased with the MLA, who is taking credit for the work of others.

Responding to the allegation of taking credit for development projects implemented in Daman by AAP leaders, Daman accused Aman Arora that Aman Arora took credit for inaugurating the Sunam-Jakhepal, Harigarh-Togawal roads worth Rs 30 crore built under the Centre’s CIR scheme. She (Daman) did not speak at that time because there was no danger to anyone’s life there, whereas the railway under bridge, which (according to the railways) is still incomplete and after the safety inspection, the contractor will hand it over to the railways, then it should have been opened for traffic.

Daman said that if Arora felt that he could be kept away from the inauguration of this project and would not get credit, then it was not his duty to get the safety inspection of the bridge done by the SDM and other officials or to open this bridge for traffic by taking the railway officials into confidence.

She (Daman) said that for me, the safety of the people is more important than taking credit, so I request the railway officials to complete the incomplete work of this bridge as soon as possible so that this bridge can be opened for the convenience of the public.

At the end of her live, Daman said in direct and clear words that this project has been built by the central government and it is a gift given to the people of Sunam by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which Minister Aman Arora should accept.

Meanwhile, Daman has shared on his social media account the information about the funds released for the construction of the bridge and a letter written by the Assistant Divisional Engineer of the Railways (Patiala) to SDM Sunam, which clearly states “The work of the under bridge is still in the final stages and some critical safety parameters are still pending. Opening it without a complete inspection is an invitation to accidents.”

This morning (which has been under construction for about one and a half years) the railway under bridge near Sunam bus stand was opened for traffic by Aam Aadmi Party state president and minister Aman Arora along with his colleagues.

MLA Aman Arora told the media that he is dedicating this railway under bridge built for the convenience of the people to the people today. He congratulated the people on this occasion and said that with the opening of this bridge, people will get relief from the traffic jams near the hospital and in the city. On this occasion, Aman Arora expressed special gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Railway Ministry and officials, as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their support for this project.
