Rajinder Deepa Honoring Farmer Leaders
Recently, the Punjab government, with the support of the administration, took action to end the 13-month-long sit-in by farmers organizations at the Khanauri and Shambhu border. Before which, activists of various unions were arrested by the police.

After some of the farmer leaders of the area were released from jail today, Akali Dal Badal’s Halqa Incharge Rajinder Singh Deepa specially honored them by presenting them with Siropas during a function at Gurdwara Nanaksar Sahib in village Cheema.
On this occasion, President Bikkar Singh, Jagtar Singh, Baljinder Singh, Balvir Singh, Sohan Singh, Chamkaur Singh, Ajaib Singh of village Cheema, Vice President Tarsem Singh, Harbans Singh Press Secretary, Major Singh, Gurjant Singh all of village Tolawal, Harbans Singh Treasurer, Secretary Dhanna Singh Jharon, Jarnail Singh Kishangarh, besides Jarnail Singh Manager Gurdwara Sahib, Rajwinder Raju Numberdar and Darshan Singh Circle President Cheema were present.

After honoring the farmer leaders, Rajinder Deepa while addressing the media said that the Punjab government has completely failed during its 3-year tenure. The leaders who claimed MSP in 5 minutes and asked for votes by sitting in farmers’ protest are today oppressing the farmers. Once these same politicians used to call the farmers’ dharna as compulsion, what change has come today that they are ready to forcefully ended farmers protest. Deepa further said that the time is near. In 2027, people will ask the government for an account, then it will be difficult for them to stand among the people.
