The sound of gunfire caused a stampede in the market. RSS worker Rajesh Khurana stated that Naveen was the grandson of Dinanath Arora, an RSS leader from before independence. He operated a grocery shop in Mochi Bazaar. The assailants shot him near the UCO Bank. The injured man was rushed to a private hospital in Firozpur for treatment, where doctors declared him dead upon examination.Naveen’s relative, Ashok Bahil, said that the deceased’s father and grandfather were both senior RSS workers. He (Naveen) was returning home from his shop when two men shot him, and he likely died on the spot. When admitted to the hospital, the doctors declared him dead.

After the incident, suspicion has been raised that this murder was carried out to create panic in the city due to the deceased’s connection to a family associated with Jan Sangh.

Following this incident, BJP leader Ravneet Singh Bittu and Punjab BJP Working President Ashwani Sharma have strongly condemned the brutal daylight murder of RSS volunteer Naveen Arora in Firozpur. They stated that Naveen, a volunteer from the third generation of Jan Sangh, was a senior RSS leader and social worker, the grandson of the late Din Nath, and the son of Baldev Raj Arora.

Both leaders said that this is neither the first nor the only incident. They remarked that the ongoing murders and crimes against businessmen, athletes, youth, and common citizens raise serious questions about the failures of the Punjab government. Sharma accused the Punjab government of being completely unsuccessful in maintaining law and order, and stated that the BJP will not remain silent on the issue of protecting innocent people. He said that this incident clearly shows how emboldened the criminals have become under the current government. Expressing deep concern, he added that the people of Punjab no longer feel safe anywhere.

They further stated, “Instead of ensuring public safety, the Punjab Police has been deployed in the service of Arvind Kejriwal and his team from Delhi, which is against public interest.” Bittu and Ravneet Singh said that the BJP will continue its fight against the rising wave of crime across the state and will keep demanding strict measures to restore peace and security in the state. Sharma/Bittu expressed deep condolences to the Arora family and assured them of every possible support in their fight for justice.
