In Sangrur Punjab, a person fell prey to cyber fraudsters in the name of online job. By luring the victim to earn money by working online, the fraudsters defrauded him of Rs 43.50 lakh. Police is investigating the matter.

According to the information, Lakhwinder Singh got an offer to earn money by working online on a website. The fraudsters assured him that the more work he did, the more money he would get. For this, he had to join a group in which he had to invest money.

When asked for money, he stopped working and broke off the contact Lakhwinder deposited a total of 43 lakh 50 thousand 84 rupees in four-five consecutive months. Each time the fraudsters promised that the money would be doubled the next month. When the victim started asking for the money, the accused stopped working and broke off contact.

Inspector Harjeet Kaur, in-charge of Cyber ​​Police Station Sangrur, said that a case has been registered against unknown accused. She has appealed to people not to fall prey to the temptation of earning money online. Fraudsters use fake IDs and fake mobile numbers, which are difficult to trace.
