Sangrur: Yellow Claw Destroyed The House Of Drug Smugglers, 21 Cases Were Filed Against The Family Members

21 cases have been registered against the members of the same family of Ram Nagar Basti of Sangrur.

Sangrur, July 07: Under the ‘War on Drugs’ campaign launched by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann to make the state drug-free, action is being taken against drug smugglers on a war footing, under which the police and civil administration under the leadership of District Police Chief Mr. Sartaj Singh Chahal demolished the illegal house built by drug smugglers at Ram Nagar Basti Ubhawal Road Sangrur.

On this occasion, the District Police Chief said that against the accused Amarjit Kaur alias Mano, 09 cases of NDPS Act and 03 cases related to other various matters, a total of 12 cases have been registered.

Amarjit Kaur alias Mano’s husband Bhola Singh alias Harbans Singh alias Avtar has 02 cases registered under the NDPS Act. Amarjit Kaur alias Mano’s mother-in-law Surjit Kaur alias Jeeto has 06 cases registered under the NDPS Act. Amarjit Kaur alias Mano’s daughter Jasmine alias Kalo has 01 case registered under the NDPS Act. Thus, 21 cases have been registered against 04 members of the same family.

The District Police Chief said that the Punjab government is adopting a zero tolerance policy against drugs and strict action is being taken against drug traffickers.

The Punjab government is helping the youth who want to quit drugs and live a good life to come forward. In this regard, government drug de-addiction and rehabilitation centers are functioning in the district.

The District Police Chief gave a stern warning to the drug traffickers and said that they should give up the business of selling drugs, otherwise similar action will be taken against them. Drug traffickers have misled the youth of the state and the Punjab government is fully determined to save the youth.

He said that the “war on drugs campaign” will continue continuously and the traffickers involved in the drug trade will not be spared under any circumstances.

On this occasion, SP Navreet Singh Virk, DSP Sukhdev Singh along with officers of various departments and a large number of police personnel were present.
