Seed producers, pesticide manufacturers and sellers from across the state gathered in Kurukshetra to protest against the Seeds and Pesticides Act 2025 implemented by the Haryana government. A 23-member committee has been formed, will hold talks with the government.
In protest against the Seeds and Pesticides Act 2025 implemented by the Haryana government, a state level seed producers, pesticides manufacturers and sellers conference was organized at Saini Samaj Dharamshala in Kurukshetra on Sunday.
More than 5 thousand seed producers, pesticide manufacturers and sellers from across the state participated in this conference and opposed this law made by the government and demanded withdrawal of this new law.
A state level strike was announced for the next 7 days in the conference. Along with this, a 23-member committee was also formed to find a solution to this problem by talking to the government.
Giving information, State President of Haryana Seeds Producer Association Pal Singh Dhaliwal said that in this conference all the people together raised their voice against this new law implemented by the Haryana Government. Everyone said that inconsistent sections have been imposed against the traders in this law, due to which it is not possible for any person to remain in this business.
The conference was chaired by Ashwini Kumar Garg Hisar. Dealer Association President Harmesh Singh Sirsa said that for the last several days in the entire state, appeals were made to the government on this issue at tehsil and district level and by meeting the Chief Minister as well, but as there was no hearing, in this conference by a voice vote, all seed, pesticide and fertilizer sellers decided to keep their shops closed for the next 7 days and seed and pesticide manufacturers decided to stop supply in Haryana indefinitely.
It was also decided in the conference that if no positive result comes out in this matter in the next 7 days, then this business will be closed indefinitely.

● In the conference, everyone unitedly announced to close the shops for the next 7 days and also decided to convert this strike into indefinite strike in protest against the government not meeting their demands.
● A 23 member committee was unanimously formed in the conference to negotiate with the government.
● Pal Singh Dhaliwal said that this conference received full support from all the big companies and seed, pesticide, fertilizer associations from many states. They also decided not to supply seeds and pesticides to Haryana.
● It is worth noting that the sowing of Kharif season is going to start soon and if the government does not pay any attention to this, then in the coming days it can become a cause of big trouble for the farmers.
