The Punjab Education Department has launched a special campaign to increase the enrollment rate of students in government schools, under which today Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Rishi flagged off a mobile van from Government Primary School Mangwal in the presence of Market Committee Sangrur Chairman Avtar Singh Elwal. This van has been specially prepared by the Education Department, which will go to urban and rural areas of the district to make citizens aware about the features of government schools and will play a role in getting children admitted to nearby government schools.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Rishi, along with Chairman Market Committee Avtar Singh Elwal, reviewed the exhibitions put up by students of various schools in the school yard and discussed future goals with the students. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Rishi said that special efforts are being made by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains to provide the best basic facilities in government schools and to make the students abreast of the times.

District Education Officer Tarvinder Kaur said that this time the target of increasing the admission of students in government schools by 10 percent has been set.She said that the Deputy District Education Officer, all Block Primary Education Officers, Resource Persons, CHT, HT and teachers are contributing their bit in this campaign.
On this occasion, an exhibition of reading and teaching materials prepared by children and teachers of various schools was also organized.
