Jagtar Singh Tara acquitted in murder case by Patiala court.

In the murder case of senior RSS leader Rulda Singh in Patiala, the police have acquitted Jagtar Singh and Ramandeep Singh Goldy. Meanwhile, after sentencing Jagtar Singh Tara, he was sent back to Chandigarh jail in another case. Jagtar Singh Tara is also guilty in the murder case of former Punjab CM Beant Singh. Five people have already been acquitted in this case.
This case is about 16 years old.
On the evening of 28 July 2009, when senior RSS leader Rulda Singh reached his house in Anaaj Mandi Sirhind Road in his car, three unknown youths shot him right in front of his house. He was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.

He died about 2 weeks later. The police had then arrested 4 suspects, who were acquitted in 2015 due to lack of evidence. He was also the head of the NRI wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
A total of 18 people were named by the police: Patiala police had named a total of 18 people in this case, including these three British citizens. In 2015, the local court of Patiala had acquitted Darshan Singh Makropur, Jagmohan Singh, Dal Singh, Gurjant Singh and Amarjit Singh in this case, while the trial was going on against Jagtar Singh Tara and another alleged accused Ramandeep Singh Goldy associated with Tigers Force. They were later included in the case. In which this decision has come today.

The Court Acquitted Jagtar Singh Tara:Three British Sikhs were also accused by the police in this case. Among them, Pyara Singh Gill, Amritvir Singh Ghatiwala and Gursharanvir Singh Ghatiwala were arrested in 2020. The West Midlands Police had made the arrest on the basis of an Indian extradition warrant. However, India’s appeal to extradite them was later rejected due to insufficient evidence.
