The crisis of DAP & UREA fertilizers in the state has worsened due to the increasing demand and the tendency of farmers to cultivate 3 crops.

The crisis of DAP & UREA fertilizers in the state: The central government is providing essential fertilizers like UREA, DAP and MOP to farmers across the country on subsidy. After the prices of DAP and UREA have increased significantly in the international market for the last 2-3 years, the black market of these two fertilizers is being seen on a large scale.
At present, the price of a 50 kg bag of DAP has been fixed at Rs 1350 by the central government and the Ministry of Agriculture and the price of a 45 kg bag of UREA at around Rs 266.
While the companies that export or manufacture UREA and DAP fertilizers are tagging Nano UREA/DAP, Micoraja, Bio Potash, Prom, Sulphur and Bio NPK with these two fertilizers on a large scale and supplying them to the distributor. Which is forcibly tagged by the distributor to the Retailer.
The Agriculture Department officials prevent farmers from tagging/selling all the above fertilizers. As a result, these products are stored in large quantities in the warehouses of the Retailers. When the Agriculture Department officials take samples of these Bio fertilizers, most of them are found to be substandard.
After which the Retailer suffers a double blow. One, lakhs of rupees are blocked in the warehouses. Second, if the department takes samples, there is a fear of the sample coming out substandard.
Taking advantage of the opportunity,By the Rake hendler’s UREA is being sold to the Retailer for Rs 30-50 and DAP for Rs 250-350 more than the fixed price.
Illegal loot of the Retailer is being done openly under the government and Agriculture Department officials.
Now the situation has deteriorated to this point. Companies are also supplying UREA DAP by tagging unnecessary goods to cooperative societies. From where farmers are forced to buy unauthorized products.
