The Gulf countries have become a battlefield amid the Iran-Israel-US war.America, Israel, and Iran are at war, and after Iran, Israel, and America, the US-allied Gulf countries are suffering the most damage.
SNPNEWS.IN News (Gurmail Kamboj): On February 28, in a joint US-Israeli missile attack on Iran’s capital Tehran, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed. Following this, the Gulf countries (or GCC nations: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman) have turned into a battlefield.
By the third day of the war (as of March 2, 2026), Iran has launched large-scale missile and drone attacks on American bases and these countries, directly affecting them. The Gulf nations are America’s allies and host US military bases, which is why Iran is targeting them, even though the Gulf countries do not want to be directly involved in the war.
Iran has continued attacks on the third day with large-scale ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones, spreading across the Gulf region. Iran has used hundreds of missiles and drones, many of which were intercepted, but some caused significant damage to their targets.
Iran carried out massive missile and drone barrages on Israel’s Tel Aviv, Jerusalem (eastern parts), Haifa, Beit Shemesh, and other areas. These directly hit synagogues and residential neighborhoods, killing at least 11 people, injuring 28, and leaving several missing. Israel’s air defense intercepted many attacks, but some caused major damage. These are the largest attacks in retaliation for Khamenei’s death.
United Arab Emirates (UAE): Major explosions occurred in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Targets included Al Dhafra Air Base (US base), Jebel Ali Port, Zayed Port, luxury hotels (such as near Burj Al Arab), and airports. French naval forces were also affected. The UAE intercepted 165 ballistic missiles, 2 cruise missiles, and 541 drones. Impact was reported on one luxury hotel and a port.
Qatar: Major explosions in Doha, especially targeting Al Udeid Air Base (US base) and energy sites (gas plants and LNG facilities). QatarEnergy halted LNG production. Defenses stopped many attacks, but debris and effects were reported.
Saudi Arabia: Attacks near Riyadh on US bases and oil refineries. A fire broke out at one refinery but was controlled. Iran denied it, but reports indicate attacks occurred. Due to significant damage, part of the refinery was shut down.
Kuwait: Drone and missile attacks on US bases like Camp Arifjan and Camp Buehring. 3-4 American soldiers were killed, several injured. Today, in a friendly fire incident, Kuwaiti air defense mistakenly shot down 3 American F-15 jets. The pilots are safe and in stable condition (no deaths).
Bahrain: Missile and drone attacks on the US Navy base (near Manama). 45 missiles and 9 drones were intercepted, but some damage and 1 death reported.
Jordan and Iraq: Attacks on US bases and other targets (such as Muwaffaq Al-Salti Air Base in Jordan and northern Iraq). Impact on US bases in Iraq.
Other locations (Oman, Syria, Cyprus, etc.): Attacks on vessels in Oman, effects on shipping near the Strait of Hormuz. Some reports show indirect impact on NATO and other countries’ bases.
During these attacks overall, Iran targeted American military and commercial interests, escalating tensions in the region. Iran’s attacks killed 4 American soldiers.
US officials stated that Iran attacked 27 American bases (9 in Gulf countries), but many were intercepted. US military bases (like Al Dhafra Air Base), airports, ports, luxury hotels, and commercial areas were targeted by Iran.

US-Israel attacks on Iran:
The US and Israel struck over 2,000 targets in Iran with thousands of airstrikes. These primarily targeted ballistic missile bases, such as Esfahan North Missile Base, Amand Missile Base, Imam Hussein Missile Base (near Yazd), and others. Satellite imagery shows launchers, storage facilities, and underground tunnels destroyed. These strikes aimed to reduce Iran’s retaliation capacity.
Israel used over 2,500 munitions and destroyed more than 600 sites. Reports of strikes on Natanz nuclear site (claimed by Iran’s ambassador), but IAEA stated no damage to nuclear installations. Focus remained on missile and military sites.
From US-Israel attacks on Iran: Over 550 deaths in Iran (including a large number of children killed when a missile hit a girls’ school), and 2,000 injured (across 131 cities).
Statements from Israel, Iran, and America today:
US Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine said the operation is in its “initial phase,” more US forces are being sent, and more American losses are expected. This is not a “single overnight operation.”
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the war “will not end” and regime change is not the goal, but appealed to Iranians to “take the opportunity.”
Trump said the “big wave” is still coming and attacks will be “harsh.” He did not rule out ground troops but said regime change is not the main objective. He stated attacks will continue until “all objectives are achieved,” and it could last 4 weeks or less. He claimed Iranian security forces and officials are offering negotiations.
Iran rejected talks with America and said they will continue targeting America and allied countries until revenge for their leader’s death is taken. Meanwhile, Iran also claimed an attack on Israel’s Prime Minister.
