The second match of the day was played between the teams of Punjab and Rajasthan today at the Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, the home ground of Punjab Kings XI.

Punjab Kings XI won the toss and elected to bowl first and invited Rajasthan Royals to bat. Which went in favour of Rajasthan. Rajasthan’s first 3 batsmen Y. Jaiswal (45-67), S. Samson (26-38) and R. Parag (25-43)* performed brilliantly and laid the foundation for Rajasthan to reach a score of 205. After which it became easy for Rajasthan to cross the 200 mark.

During this innings, Punjab bowlers were able to dismiss 4 Rajasthan batsmen with great difficulty.

The lions fell into their own home.Punjab Kings XI had a very bad start, their first 2 batsmen were out after scoring 11 runs in 6 balls. Punjab team lost 4 batsmen for 43 runs, due to which their defeat was almost certain.

After losing wickets early, N. Wadhera (41-62) and G. Maxwell (21-30) kept the team’s batting for some time, so the team hoped for a miracle.

But when G. Maxwell (21-30) and N. Wadhera (41-62) were out in 2 consecutive balls, the defeat of Punjab Kings XI team was certain. In the end, Punjab Kings XI team had to suffer a big defeat by 50 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs and scoring 155 runs.
