After US President Donald Trump announced a 5-day ceasefire and efforts toward a deal yesterday, Iran has rejected any talks.
SNPNEWS.IN News (Gurmail Kamboj): US President Donald Trump surprised the whole world by announcing a 5-day ceasefire on March 23, Just before the 48-hour deadline given by US President Donald Trump to Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz expired, Trump claimed that talks are underway to create a comfortable atmosphere between the US and Iran, and there seems to be an agreement on issues between the two sides. Trump also said that Iran has promised not to build nuclear weapons and that Israel would be “very happy” with this deal. The talks include US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
Iranian officials have completely rejected Trump’s claims. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and the Foreign Minister stated that there are no talks with the US and described the statements as “fake news” and an attempt at market manipulation. Iran clearly said that as long as the war is ongoing and attacks continue, there is no scope for dialogue. They called it a bluff and a strategy by the US and Israel to prepare their next moves.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, while stating conditions for ending the war, said that the US and Israel must provide a firm guarantee of no future attacks, pay reparations for the damage caused to Iran during this conflict, and recognize Iran’s “legitimate rights.” Iran emphasized that while attacks are continuing, there is no room for talks.
