Trump Hits Back At Khamenei's National Address, Iran Also Responds

US President Donald Trump has hit back at Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s claim of Iran’s victory in the war with Israel.

President Trump wrote on his home social media platform Truth Social, “Why has Ayatollah Ali Khamenei foolishly said that he has won the war with Israel?

He (Ayatollah Ali Khamenei) knows that his statement is false. He should not lie.””As a man of great faith, he should not lie.” Trump added, “Their country (Iran) is destroyed.

Their three nuclear sites are destroyed. I knew where he (Khamenei) was hiding. I did not let Israel or the US armed forces take his life even though I knew where he was hiding.

I saved him from a very ugly and humiliating death, and he did not even think it necessary to say, “Thank you, President Trump!”

In fact, as a final act of war, I demanded that Israel turn back a large group of aircraft that were heading directly towards Tehran, looking for a big day, perhaps a final knockout!”

Trump has said that he was working on the possibility of lifting sanctions on Iran, but has stopped working on it after recent statements from Iran. Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi has reacted to President Trump’s statement.

He has said that if America really wants a deal with Iran, then President Trump should stop his insulting and unacceptable tone towards Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

He wrote on social media platform X, “Our basic premise as a nation is very simple and straightforward that we know our worth. We value our independence and will never allow anyone else to determine our destiny.”
