US Police Arrest 8 Punjabi Indian Youths In California

US police administration takes major action against Punjabis involved in criminal cases

US police officials said on Friday that eight people have been arrested in a gang-related kidnapping and torture investigation in San Joaquin County. According to the information received, five search warrants were issued, which led to eight arrests and during the investigation, officers found five handguns, an assault rifle, hundreds of cartridges, high-capacity magazines and more than $15,000 in cash.

The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office identified the main suspect as Pavit Singh, but no other information was given. Others arrested include:
Dilpreet Singh, Arshpreet Singh, Amritpal Singh, Vishal, Gurtaj Singh, Manpreet Randhawa and Sarabjit Singh
Eight suspects were booked into jail on various charges, including kidnapping, torture, assault with a semi-automatic weapon and other weapons-related charges.

Agencies assisting the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office during the operation included the Stockton Police Department SWAT Team, the Manteca Police Department SWAT Team, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and the FBI SWAT Team.
