On the 30th day of the America-Israel-Iran war, Iran’s English-language newspaper Tehran Times boldly headlined its front page with: “Welcome to Hell”.
SNPNEWS.IN News (Gurmail Kamboj): On March 28, Iran’s English newspaper Tehran Times featured a bold headline on its front page: “Welcome to Hell”. It further stated: “US troops who step foot on Iranian soil will leave only in a coffin.” Iranian media has made it clear, in response to reports of the US and Israel preparing for ground-level combat amid Donald Trump’s claims of talks and negotiations, that a ground war against Iran will not be easy for them.
The America-Israel-Iran war, which began on February 28 under Operation Epic Fury (US) and Operation Roaring Lion (Israel), involved missile and drone attacks. During these strikes, more than 40 high-ranking officials were killed, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with IRGC and military commanders.
In the same period, attacks using bunker-buster bombs targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities: Natanz Nuclear Facility (uranium enrichment), Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, Isfahan Nuclear Site, Arak Heavy Water Production Facility, and Ardakan Yellowcake Production Plant. These strikes significantly reduced Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

Israeli and American actions also hit:
● Yazd Missile Base (multiple attacks)
● Imam Ali Missile Base (Khorramabad)
● Parchin Military Complex (missile and drone production)
● Bushehr Airport and Airbase
● Marine Industries Organization (naval ship production)
● Air defense systems and radar sites
● Kharg Island (Iran’s 90% oil export hub) — major attack
● South Pars Gas Field (the world’s largest gas field)
● Asaluyeh processing hub (along with other refineries and oil depots)
● Missile launcher sites (over 190 launchers destroyed)
Several civilian areas, factories, colleges, universities, and hospitals were also targeted. Thousands of people and soldiers were killed, with 25,000 reported injured.
In retaliation, under Operation True Promise 4, Iran targeted Israeli cities and sites including Tel Aviv, Haifa, Dimona (nuclear site), Arad, Rishon LeZion, military bases, airports, and civilian areas. Large waves of hundreds of missiles were launched simultaneously on multiple occasions. Israel has avoided disclosing accurate figures for casualties and damage.
Additionally, Iranian-backed groups such as the Houthi rebels in Yemen and Hezbollah in Lebanon have also launched missile attacks on Israel.
Iran targeted US military sites in the region, including:
● US Navy Fifth Fleet Headquarters in Bahrain
● Al Dhafra Air Base in the UAEAl Udeid Air Base in Qatar
● Ali Al Salem Air Base and Arifjan Base in Kuwait
● Prince Sultan Air Base and others in Saudi Arabia
● US bases in Iraq, Jordan, etc.
This raises the possibility of significant damage and casualties at American bases in Arab countries. In response to Israel targeting economic infrastructure, Iran has attempted to strike oil refineries, desalination plants (water production units), airports, and energy infrastructure in Gulf countries.
Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz, creating an energy crisis worldwide. Many countries have indirectly accused America and Israel of violating international norms by attacking Iran.
After NATO countries rejected Trump’s request to send troops to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran on March 22, 2026 (Saturday), stating: “If Iran does not fully open the Strait of Hormuz without any threats, the United States will destroy Iran’s power plants (electricity generation facilities).”
Iranian military spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaqari rejected the US threat and warned that if America attacks power plants, the strait will be closed immediately and indefinitely. Iran also warned of attacks on energy (energy), IT systems, and water desalination facilities in Gulf countries (where US military bases are located). This was particularly serious for Gulf nations due to their water scarcity. Iran also mentioned targeting financial entities that purchase US Treasury bonds.
Following this threat, on March 23, Trump indicated the possibility of talks between Iran and America and withdrew his 48-hour ultimatum. He first extended it by 5 days, then by 10 days (until April 4), claiming that talks were ongoing. Iran rejected this, stating that no such talks are taking place and that it is “fake news” by America to influence markets. Iran has refused to trust America and Israel.
While America claims talks are underway, the Pentagon is now preparing for ground operations that could last for weeks. These may particularly involve actions on Kharg Island (Iran’s main oil export hub) and coastal areas near the Strait of Hormuz. Reports have emerged of sending an additional 10,000 troops to the Middle East and planning a ground invasion of Iranian territory to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Two aircraft carrier groups (USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Gerald R. Ford) are deployed in the Gulf. Around 3,500 US Marines have already arrived in the region.
After recent US-Israeli attacks targeted Iran’s economic infrastructure and universities, Iran has threatened to destroy American and Israeli companies and infrastructure present in the region. Additionally, Iran has stated that if American forces attempt a ground invasion of Iran, it will be difficult to count their bodies. Iran is ready to give America and Israel a “Welcome to Hell”.
