Several former Indian military officers raised questions about the Pakistan-India ceasefire (May 10, 2025).

The officers apparently named include:
General V. P. Malik (former Army Chief):
He expressed displeasure over the ceasefire, saying that India lost the advantage despite being in a superior position militarily. He believed that the decision was a strategic mistake.
General Manoj Naravane (former Army Chief):
He also disagreed with the ceasefire decision, arguing that India could have had an opportunity to inflict further damage on Pakistan’s terrorist infrastructure.
In addition, leading geostrategic analyst Brahma Chellani also criticised the ceasefire, which he described as “turning the possibility of victory into defeat”. According to him, India did not take advantage of Pakistan’s weak air defences and settled for a compromise without long-term benefits.

Note: There is no clear evidence of Pakistani military officials directly questioning the ceasefire, but questions have been raised about the agreement of the acting chief of the Pakistani army, General Asim Munir, as the Pakistani army violated the agreement with drones and shelling within hours of the ceasefire.
Comments from other former officials may emerge, but these are the main names as per current information.
