The 7th round of talks between the Center and farmer organizations ended today, Pandher and Dallewal, who were coming from the meeting, were taken into custody by the police.
The 7th round of talks between the central government and farmers in Chandigarh on Wednesday also remained inconclusive.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Chauhan, Piyush Goyal and Prahlad Joshi from the Centre attended this meeting which lasted for about 4 hours.
After the meeting, the farmer leaders returning to Shambhu and Khanauri border were detained by Punjab Police. Jagjit Dallewal, who was on a hunger strike, was detained in Sangrur. During this, there was a scuffle between the police and the farmers. Sarwan Pandher was detained from Airport Road in Mohali.
Earlier, Sarwan Pandher had expressed doubt that the force has been increased on Shambhu and Khanauri border. It seems that the government wants to end the protest. But, he will not end the protest until he gets legal guarantee of MSP.

After the meeting, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan told the farmers that we are not ending the protest. There may be some issues with the list shared by the farmers regarding MSP. They want to discuss this with all the ministries related to farming, so it may take time. It was agreed to hold talks again on May 4.
