Some people wanted to shift the bus stand to Bathinda Road. Amidst this dispute, the city council has passed the proposal to shift the bus stand near Gurudwara Sachkhand.

A plan was prepared by the Nagar Council in collaboration with the PWD B&R department to build a new bus stand in the city.
On 3 December 2024, while approving the plan under proposal number 293, approval was given to get this work done by PWD. The case of the land adjoining Gurdwara Shri Sachkhand Sahib has been decided in favor of the Nagar Council by the court.
After taking the adjoining land of Punjab Waqf Board on lease, the Nagar Council presented a proposal to shift the bus stand to the land of the Waqf Board, which has been approved.
Nagar Council EO Bal Krishna says that the proposal to shift the bus stand has been passed. The responsibility of construction has been given to the PWD B&R department.
There has been opposition to the temporary bus stand Let us tell you that an underbridge is being constructed at the railway gate near the bus stand. Due to this, about two months ago the bus stand was temporarily shifted to the road near Gurdwara Sachkhand.
Due to this, the silence at the bus stand caused anger among the shopkeepers, after which the shopkeepers approached Cabinet Minister Aman Arora. A request was made not to shift the bus stand.
