
The WhatsApp Group Chat Goes Viral
After the chat and audio clips surfaced online, Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu have demanded immediate action from the Punjab government.
The WhatsApp group chat of the organisation “Waris Punjab De” of independent MP from Khadoor Sahib, Punjab Amritpal Singh went viral. Along with chats, some audio clips have also gone viral. In those chats and clips, people associated with the organisation are talking about eliminating some leaders of Punjab including Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Shiromani Akali Dal’s Bikram Singh Majithia.
What’s Written In Chats?
In the chats, a person named Balkar Chauhan wrote that Bittu will be the first one to be killed, as Amritpal Singh Khalsa is in jail because of him. He has further written that Majithia will be the second, who who gave 10 crores to get Amritpal Singh arrested. He added that Amit Shah will be third as it is because of him Amritpal has been put under NSA for the third time.

Ravneet Singh Bittu has issued a written statement demanding the Punjab government to immediately arrest the elements associated with the ‘Waris Punjab De’ organisation. He has accused them of orchestrating a conspiracy to murder him and other political leaders. Bittu added that this murder plot came to light through the leaked chats on social media.
Bittu further stated that the central government has taken this conspiracy seriously hatched by the leaders of the ‘Waris Punjab De’ organisation. He said that many associates of Amritpal Singh, who were lodged in Dibrugarh jail have now been transferred. This makes it clear that Amritpal is the mastermind of this conspiracy.
Bittu criticised the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He said that the government is being soft towards the criminal elements who are presenting themselves as political workers. He has warned that groups like ‘Waris Punjab De’ are trying to push Punjab towards a dark period of its past.
“The central government will not allow anti-national forces to spread instability in Punjab under any circumstances,” Bittu added.
He reiterated his commitment to peace and unity and reminded the people of the sacrifices made by his family. “My grandfather sacrificed his life for peace in Punjab. I come from a family of martyrs and am not afraid of any militant threats. I will not let Punjab go back to darkness. Whoever has hatched this conspiracy will definitely be punished,” he said.
The Punjab Police have arrested two individuals
The Punjab Police have arrested 2 individuals and initiated a probe following the discovery of a leaked WhatsApp chat detailing plans to attack Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu, and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia.
The accused have been identified as Lakhdeep Singh Sardargarh, from Bathinda, Balkar Singh, from New Model Town, Khanna and Pawandeep Singh, from Khote, Moga. Of the three, Balkar and Pawandeep have been arrested.DIG (Faridkot Range) Ashwani Kapoor said, “A case has been registered by Moga police and two accused have been arrested while efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend other unidentified persons.”
The plot was uncovered through screenshots from a WhatsApp group allegedly connected to MP Amritpal Singh, currently imprisoned in Dibrugarh, Assam.
An FIR was filed at the Cyber Crime police station in Moga,The Cyber Crime Police Station in Moga have registered an FIR under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), and the Information Technology Act, including Sections 61(2)(a), 113(3), 152, 353 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The investigation into the leaked chats led the police to identify the creators of the WhatsApp group “Waris Punjab De Team,” which reportedly has over 600 members and is linked to anti-national activities.
Among the arrested are Lakhdeep Singh Sardargarh from Bathinda and Pawandeep Singh from Moga & Balkur Singh. The group is alleged to have plotted violence against prominent political figures such as Amit Shah, Bittu, Majithia, and Parminder Singh Talwara.
The group’s discussions also involved sensitive matters, including foreign funding, arms procurement, and the dissemination of inflammatory content.
The chat revealed intentions to target political leaders due to their opposition to Amritpal Singh’s detention. Ravneet Singh Bittu, whose grandfather Beant Singh, the former Punjab Chief Minister, was assassinated by terrorists, has previously faced threats from Amritpal’s supporters.
In addition, Bittu is accused by Amritpal’s associates of playing a role in his detention.
Earlier, senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia on Monday held a press conference at the party headquarters in Chandigarh, where he made a series of sensational revelations regarding a viral chat linked to Amritpal Singh, the MP from Khadoor Sahib.
During the press briefing, Bikram Singh Majithia disclosed that the admin of the controversial group chat is Mahaan Singh, the brother of Kulwant Singh. It is worth noting that Kulwant Singh has recently been transferred from Dibrugarh Jail to Punjab.
Targeting the MP, Majithia said Amritpal Singh was linked to gangsters abroad and had ties to Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. He remarked, “Someone who couldn’t help his own brother overcome drug addiction – how can he guide the youth out of it?”
In response, SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia shared audio recordings in which Amritpal Singh allegedly admits to ties with gangsters and involvement in criminal activities. Majithia has called for a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe, and has voiced concerns over the political influence over the Punjab Police, accusing Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of failing to act promptly. Majithia has labeled Amritpal as a “dhongi” (fraud) and condemned his past associations with the Congress party.
With both state and national security agencies now involved, authorities have heightened security around the individuals targeted in the leaked chat.
