Bajwa files FIR against AAP president and cabinet minister Aman Arora and other leaders, Manjinder Singh Sirsa sends legal notice.
Aam Aadmi Party Punjab Pradesh president and cabinet minister Aman Arora is seen mired in controversies. After the arrest of Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia recently, Congress party and party leader in the Vidhan Sabha Pratap Singh Bajwa had filed a complaint against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, cabinet minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Aman Arora at Sector-3 police station in Chandigarh, which resulted in the registration of an FIR.
The complaint relates to a video posted by Bajwa on his official X account on June 25, 2025, in which he condemned the alleged misbehavior of Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia’s wife and MLA Ganiv Kaur by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau.
Bajwa alleged in the complaint that AAP leaders edited the video and circulated it on social media in such a way that it appeared that they (Bajwa) were supporting Majithia, who is an accused.
The name and reference of the woman MLA were deliberately removed from the video, thereby trying to damage Bajwa’s political image and the Congress party. Based on this complaint, an FIR was registered against Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann, Harpal Cheema, Aman Arora and their social media team.
When asked about the matter, Aman Arora replied that he does not indulge in personal attacks or petty politics and rejected Bajwa’s allegations. He also mentioned that in 2014, Captain Amarinder Singh had accused Bajwa of having links with drug smugglers and terrorists in a letter to Sonia Gandhi. Why didn’t Bajwa take action against Amarinder Singh then?.
Apart from this, Delhi Cabinet Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa sent a legal notice to Punjab Cabinet Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Aman Arora on July 10, 2025.
The notice was in relation to a video and statements posted by Arora on social media, in which he accused Sirsa of supporting gangsters and providing protection to criminals involved in the murder of Abohar businessman Sanjay Verma.
The notice, sent through Sirsa’s lawyer, Supreme Court advocate Yogendra Handu, said that Arora’s statements were “false, malicious, and defamatory” and damaged Sirsa’s public image and reputation.
The notice demanded Arora to issue a public apology on all social media platforms within 24 hours, remove all related posts, and refrain from repeating such defamatory statements in future. If Arora fails to do so, Sirsa has warned of legal action.
In response, Aman Arora refused to apologise, saying, “Forget the apology, do what you have to do,” and rejected Sirsa’s allegations. The case has created a stir in Punjab and Delhi politics. Follow US ON Facbook
