Kotha Sherjung share trader youth brutally murdered with weapons, deceased’s vehicle set on fire.

Sherjung Massacre Accused Ramandeep Singh Surrenders In Court.

Jagraon 2 August: In the case of the murder of youth Jaskirat Singh alias Jassa (who was engaged in share trading) in Kotha Sherjung village near Jagraon, the main accused Ramandeep Singh surrendered in the court along with his lawyers on Friday. The Naib Court called the police on the spot and handed him over to police remand.

The alleged accused Ramandeep, who was being continuously searched by police teams, surrendered himself in the court. Accused Ramandeep Singh reached the Jagraon court around 10 am on Friday. He was accompanied by a team of four lawyers. These included BJP leader and lawyer Vikramjit Singh Sidhu, lawyer Rohit Arora, Vaibhav Jain and Raghav Bhatia. The lawyers filed a surrender petition in the court on behalf of the accused. The court immediately heard the matter.

The police were called by the court and Ramandeep was handed over to them. After filing the surrender application, the honorable court informed the police of the City Jagraon Police Station over the phone. Meanwhile, the accused was present in the court premises. Despite this, it took more than an hour and a half for the police to reach there. Meanwhile, the accused and his lawyers remained sitting in the court room.

● Surrendered in the Jagraon court at 10 am

● Police failed to find the accused, intelligence failed

● Media was prevented from taking photos of the accused

● Car parking dispute is being said to be the reason for the murder

Earlier, a video of Ramandeep went viral in which he confessed to the murder. In the video, the accused is seen confessing to the murder of Ramandeep Jaskirat, mentioning a dispute over the car parking. A video of accused Ramandeep Singh went viral on social media. In the video, Ramandeep himself confessed to the murder.

He said that now he himself is ruined and the family of the deceased is also ruined. He also said in the video that weapons should be used only for protection and not to scare anyone. He said in the video that I have killed a big goon from whom not a single bullet was fired properly.

The surrender took place in the court premises. Four lawyers were present with the accused. They informed the court about the entire incident and completed the legal process of surrender. The court has ordered the accused to be produced again on August 4. After the murder, the police had claimed that they were making continuous efforts to catch the accused.

Several police teams were formed to arrest the accused. But the accused, whom the police could not find, himself reached the court with lawyers. This has raised questions about the promptness and efficiency of the police.

At 5 pm, the police held a press conference and claimed that Ramandeep has been arrested by their teams and did not disclose the place and time of the arrest. The press conference said that the mobile of accused Ramandeep is being examined. If the viral video turns out to be his, then separate action will be taken under the IT Act.

The police intelligence department had no information about this entire incident. The accused reached the court openly and surrendered of his own free will. The lawyers said that earlier they were going to present the accused in the court on Thursday itself, but due to getting a copy of the FIR late at night, he surrendered on Friday.

On Friday evening, the police called a press conference. In this, SSP Rural Dr. Ankur Gupta claimed that the police have arrested accused Ramandeep Singh with the help of three teams. But the press note did not say where and when the arrest took place.

SSP Ankur Gupta said that three teams were formed under the leadership of DSP City Jasjit Singh, DSP Inderjit Singh, SHO Varinder Singh and post incharge Sukhwinder Singh. These teams together arrested the accused. But the truth was that the police took the accused into custody directly from the court. In the press conference, SSP Ankur Gupta said that the vehicle used in the murder, the petrol bottle, the deceased’s weapon and his magazine have also been recovered.
