SNPNEWS.IN NEWS UPDATE (GURMAIL KAMBOJ): The alleged (AI) generated obscene video of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was uploaded on 20 October 2025 from a social media (Facebook) account named Jagman Samra.

An FIR has been registered against Jagman Samra, a resident of Canada, at PS State Cyber ​​Crime, Phase IV, S.A.S. Nagar, on the charge of making the video viral and sharing it.

According to the complainant Inspector Gaganpreet, several (AI) generated obscene videos were shared by Jagman Samra, targeting the Chief Minister. The complainant in the complaint said that the content uploaded by the user of the Facebook account named ‘Jagman Samra’ has been posted with malicious intent to promote enmity between different groups of people and is detrimental to the maintenance of public harmony in the state of Punjab.

The content is obscene, illegal, and has the potential to incite hatred, enmity or ill-will between groups of people.

Preliminary investigation also reveals that the content may be AI generated, which further complicates its potential impact and authenticity.

The content of the alleged posts prima facie discloses the commission of serious offences under sections 340 (2) 353 (1) 353 (2) 351 (2), 336 (4) IT Act 67 of the Indian Penal Code. In view of which a case has been registered in the Mohali Cyber ​​Crime Branch.

As soon as the news of the FIR being filed spread on social media, an atmosphere of fear and panic has been created among users who, in addition to sharing the alleged video link, have reacted by commenting.
