Jalandhar: 3 Masked Robbers Loot Jeweler's Shop in Broad Daylight

The law and order situation in Punjab appears extremely fragile. Today, robbers looted a jeweler’s shop in Jalandhar in broad daylight.

SNPNEWS.IN News (Gurmail Kamboj): Punjab has been in the spotlight for the past few years due to gang wars, public murders, kidnappings, shootings, and robberies. Criminals carry out incidents fearlessly and then escape with ease. One such criminal case has come to light from Jalandhar.

In the Bhargo Camp area of Jalandhar, a major robbery took place today (October 30, 2025) around 10 AM in broad daylight. Three masked robbers entered a jeweler’s shop armed with pistols and carried out the robbery by threatening the shop owner at gunpoint.

The robbers threatened the shop owner by showing pistols and broke the glass with sharp weapons, after which they looted approximately 2 lakh rupees in cash and gold jewelry before fleeing. The entire incident was captured on the shop’s CCTV camera.

As soon as the police received information about the incident, the ACP, CIA staff, and Bhargo Camp police reached the spot. The police cordoned off the area and obtained the CCTV footage, which clearly shows three robbers entering the shop with pistols and other weapons. Upon seeing the robbers, the shop owner’s son got scared and started screaming. Meanwhile, one robber broke the counter glass with a sharp weapon, while the other two began collecting jewelry from the showcases. They forced the shop owner at gunpoint to open the safe and packed the cash and gold jewelry into bags. Following the incident, an atmosphere of panic has spread in the area.

The Traders’ Association and the jeweler community have expressed anger against the police and administration, stating that criminals have become fearless, putting the safety of traders and the general public at risk.

Traders suspect that the robbers had conducted a recce of the shop before the incident. According to another shopkeeper, there were five robbers in total, out of which three entered inside while two remained standing outside.

This incident is raising concerns over the increasing robbery incidents in Punjab. There is anger and fear among the people that such incidents are happening even in broad daylight. Demands are growing from the public for the police to take strict action against the criminals.
