The NDA’s resounding victory has dashed the Mahagathbandhan’s hopes of forming a government. The performance of the Mahagathbandhan’s major parties, RJD and Congress, was extremely poor. As a result, several big leaders from both parties lost.

These elections were significant for Bihar’s veteran leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and the Congress (Gandhi family). The win or loss of both parties was crucial in determining the political buzz. After the election results, the political ground for Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family in Bihar has almost ended, and the Gandhi family, especially Rahul Gandhi, will now have to run around to keep Congress alive in the center and the rest of the country’s states, which will be extremely difficult.
In these elections, Asaduddin Owaisi’s party performed better than Congress, capturing 5 seats despite using limited resources.
Congress and RJD leaders are blaming SIR (Special Intensive Revision) for the BJP’s victory. They claim that the Election Commission, at the behest of the BJP, used SIR to delete votes on a large scale from those individuals who were expected to vote against the NDA alliance. In reality, between June and October 2025, 10 lakh new voters were added to the voting list, while during the same period, votes of 20-25 lakh individuals (poor and minorities) were removed from the list by calling them deceased/duplicates. These are being linked to vote theft by RJD and Congress.

In addition, the biggest reason for the NDA’s resounding victory was the announcement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 26, 2025, to directly transfer ₹10,000-₹10,000 into the accounts of 75 lakh women under the name of the Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana, which continued relentlessly during the election campaign, and the Election Commission of India took no action on it. As a result, by the last days of October, this figure reached 1.3-1.4 crore women, due to which women participated on a large scale in voting, and a 5-6% increase in voting percentage was recorded from 2020, which proved to be a turning point for the BJP alliance.
