According to the Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), these attacks were carried out by targeting US military bases located in the area, but there is a report of a A massive fire broke out at the entrance of a five-star hotel (Fairmont the Palm) on Palm Jumeirah after a missile or drone hit it.
Apart from this, about 6 explosions were heard in the Greens Community residential area, due to which the windows of the buildings shook. Loud explosions were also heard in Dubai Marina, which is a densely populated area of Dubai. Jumeirah Burj Al Arab Debris from an intercepted drone fell on the facade of this famous hotel in Dubai, causing a minor fire. An explosion has been confirmed near the Burj Khalifa. The Burj Khalifa (the world’s tallest building) had already been evacuated for security reasons.
Security sirens continued to sound in the commercial areas of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and people were asked to go to basements or safe places. A section of the Dubai International Airport (DXB) concourse also suffered minor damage, where four employees were injured. Dubai International Airport (DXB) was closed for some time for security reasons and several flights were canceled or diverted. The UAE has temporarily closed its airspace.
The UAE’s Ministry of Defense has said that its air defense system has successfully intercepted several missiles. They claimed that we used our THAAD and Patriot missile defense systems to stop the Iranian attack.
