Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) 2024 batch ST category state topper and B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Mandi, SDM Kajal Meena, has been arrested in a bribery case.
SNPNEWS.IN News Rajasthan (Gurmail Kamboj), on April 16, the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested SDM Kajal Meena, who was posted as SDM in Nadoti (Karauli district, Rajasthan), in a bribery case.
The complainant informed the ACB that SDM Kajal Meena had demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh for issuing a final decision in a land dispute/land division, which was later fixed at Rs 60 thousand, out of which Rs 50 thousand was demanded for SDM Kajal Meena and Rs 10 thousand for the reader.
The ACB Sawai Madhopur unit laid a trap and caught the SDM red-handed on April 16, 2026, while accepting the bribe. This bribe was being taken through Reader Dinesh Kumar Saini and Senior Assistant/UDC Praveen Dhakad. Apart from the Rs 60 thousand bribe, additional cash of about Rs 4 lakh has also been recovered from the SDM’s office. An investigation is also underway.
SDM Kajal Meena, Dinesh Kumar Saini, and Praveen Dhakad were produced in a special court in Bharatpur and sent to judicial custody. A case has been registered against all three under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and a deep investigation is underway by the ACB. A report has also been sent to the personnel department, after which the SDM and his colleagues are likely to be suspended.

Kajal became a topic of discussion in 2024 when she became the state topper in the ST category in the 2024 batch. A B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Mandi, Kajal worked as an officer in the Department of Telecommunications in Delhi as an ASO and EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organization) before becoming a RAS. She was also selected as JE (Junior Engineer) in 2017.
Before the bribery case, she was posted as an under-training assistant collector in Tonk and as an SDM in Suhagpura, Pratapgarh. Nadoti (about 6 months of service) was her second posting.
ACB Director General Govind Gupta said after Kajal’s arrest that a trap was laid only after the complaint was verified, and she was arrested along with the bribe money.
