Jitendra Shelke (55) and his wife Anuradha (50), considered to be the main witnesses in the obscene video and rape case, have died in a horrific road accident in Maharashtra’s Ahilyanagar (Ahmednagar) district.
SNPNEWS.IN News (Gurmail Kamboj): Jitendra Shelke (55), the vice-president of Shivanika Trust, who was considered the main witness against Nashik’s self-proclaimed guru Ashok Kharat (The alleged astrologer who created an earthquake in Maharashtra’s politics, who had sexual intercourse with high-profile women of the state by tricking them and then recording their obscene videos), have died in atragic road accident. After Kharat’s arrest the Shivanika trust was under the target of investigation agencies due to land deals and financial transactions. Jitendra Shelke was a very close associate and business partner of Ashok Kharat.
The accident took place on the Samriddhi Expressway near Dhotre village in Ahilyanagar district on the afternoon of April 17, 2026. Jitendra Shelke was travelling from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Shirdi with his wife and 14-year-old son. Their car hit a container truck parked or moving slowly on the roadside at high speed from behind. The collision was so severe that the car got stuck under the truck. Jitendra Shelke (55) and his wife Anuradha (50) died, while their son Suchit was seriously injured.
This road accident in Maharashtra is surrounded by a lot of discussion and suspicion. This accident is not being considered as just an ordinary accident because the deceased was a very important link in the much-talked-about case of alleged astrologer Ashok Kharat of Nashik (who is facing serious charges of rape, cheating and making obscene videos of women).
Police have arrested the truck driver and are investigating the accident.
